Children in this room will start to play as part of a group. Stories will be told or read to groups as well as to individuals.

The Foundation Stage curriculum will be used for planning play based activities. Children will begin to recognise their own names and be able to take ownership of their property.

There will be full access to the outside. Bikes, taxi bikes and scooters will be available for outdoor play. There will be access to the themed gardens and wellies would be appreciated.

Children now will be making choices for their own activities. Children’s ideas for future play activities will be welcomed. There will be opportunities for problem solving.

Children will be encouraged to interact with the younger children in the Nursery (handing out fruit) or putting on a little show for the younger children etc.

Children will be encouraged to take responsibility for their own hygiene, washing hands, using toilet independently.
